Teaching good Brushing and flossing habits to our little children

After taking over the practice and inheriting the previous owner's patients, we noticed that all the young adult children that had been visiting the practice for the past 20 years had amazing teeth. The parents of these now young adults often commented on how the owner would spend a lot of time showing each child how to brush and floss in the chair and get the child to then demonstrate this process back to her. The result, teeth with no cavities and great oral care!

So we decided we at South Corona Dentistry, love dentistry, great smiles, kids, entertainment and education than what better way to incorporate all these ingredients than to go out to our local pre-schools, and do a presentation with a puppet, slideshow and of course music and dancing?

And that's exactly what we did. We spent a wonderful time at a number of schools teaching the children about teeth, cavities, dental visit, and a good brushing and flossing techniques.

We got great feedback from the teacher at these schools and the children who became particularly attached to "dragony, the dentist and the tooth fairy!"

Coments from teachers -

"you did a great job, the children laughed a lot"

"the kids loved the presentation and we thought it was great!"

"what a lot of fun, it was so nice how you incorporated music and dancing to teach how to brush"

"the kids really paid attention and loved the puppet. They wanted to see him again!"

We would like shout out a special thanks to Mrs Kendra Myers at Circle City Pre-school, Ms Natalie at Countryside Montessori and Ms
